Launch of the SHEILA MOOC on learning analytics policy and strategies

 We are pleased to announce the launch of a MOOC based on the research outputs of the EU-funded project – SHEILA (Supporting Higher Education to Integrate Learning Analytics). If you’re looking to start or systematise the adoption of learning analytics in your institution, perhaps this MOOC is what you need to get ready for it. Moving towards Systematic Adoption of Learning Analytics in Higher Education is a three-week course planned for busy people who are looking to get a quick understanding of the state of the art of learning analytics in higher education and what to consider when developing an institutional strategy and policy to ensure effective, responsible, and sustainable adoption of learning analytic. Maren Scheffel is an assistant professor within the Technology Enhanced Learning Innovations (TELI) department of the Open Universiteit’s Welten Institute, the Research Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology. With a background in computational linguistics she started to work in the field of technology-enhanced learning in 2009 and has since then been involved in the coordination and management as well as the research work of several European projects. For her PhD that she obtained from the Open Universiteit in 2017, she developed the Evaluation Framework for Learning Analytics (EFLA).
